Last week an IT system issue has caused dozens of short haul British Airways flights from Heathrow Airport to be cancelled.
The problem affected flights departing on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. This was in addition to earlier disruptions caused by a fire alarm at the airport’s air traffic control tower on Wednesday. Some of the passengers reported delays of almost 15 hours and hundreds of passengers were told to return to the airport on Thursday.
